Etown Defeats F&M, 1-0, in First Home Night Game in Program History

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College women's soccer team won its first-ever home night game, 1-0, over Franklin and Marshall Wednesday night.

Nicole Hundley (Lancaster, PA/Manheim Township) scored the Blue Jays' lone goal with 35:25 remaining to play in the second half unassisted off a fumble by F&M goaltender Melissa Ruff (East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick).

The game's shot totals were almost even, with 15 Etown (2-1) shots versus 14 for F&M (2-1). Jackie Shoustal (Reading, PA/Exeter Township), made a season high seven saves in her first complete-game whitewash of the season to preserve the Blue Jays' lead.

Etown returns to action at home against New Jersey Athletic Conference powerhouse Rowan Friday, September 7. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
