Etown Downs Rowan, 3-0

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown improved to 3-1 this season with a 3-0 win at home over Rowan Friday night. Rowan fell to 2-1 overall with the loss.

Etown scored its first goal 12:07 into the game when Katierose Riegger (Baltimore, MD/Catholic) followed up on a shot by Nicole Hundley (Lititz, PA/Manheim Township) that got past Rowan keeper Becky Petsch. It was Riegger's third goal of the season.

Etown struck again 27:40 into the game when Courtney Phillips (Mechanicsburg, PA/Mechanicsburg) scored the first goal of her collegiate career. Phillips ultimately fired off eight shots over the course of the game. Phillips' goal was assisted by Dina Jingoli (Morrisville, PA/Notre Dame-NJ).

Robin Felix (Voorhees, NJ/Eastern Regional) scored the first goal of her collegiate career off an assist by Riegger at 68:29.

Etown goaltender Amy Weid (Turnersville, NJ/Pitman) made eight saves en route to the first complete game shutout of her collegiate career.

Elizabethtown returns to action Wednesday, September 12 at home against Wilkes. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
