Cromley Scores Hat Trick as Etown Pounds Albright, 10-0, for First Commonwealth Conference Win

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown climbed to 5-2 overall and 1-1 in the Commonwealth Conference with a 10-0 road win over Albright Tuesday. Freshman Jessie Cromley (New Columbia, PA/Milton) had a hat trick for the Blue Jays.

Goals in the first half by Nicole Hundley (Lancaster, PA/Manheim Township) and Brienne Spangler (Leola, PA/Warwick) gave the Blue Jays a 2-0 lead by halftime.

The floodgates opened at the beginning of the second half when Aileen Musser (Columbia, PA/Hempfield) scored just 23 seconds into the half. Jessie Cromley (New Columbia, PA/Milton) followed with a goal 2:10 later, and Musser struck again 5:54 into the second half.

Rebecca Young (Macungie, PA/Emmaus) scored 11:47 into the second half, and Cromley followed with another goal 25 seconds later, giving the Blue Jays a 7-0 lead.

Becky Wise (Red Lion, PA/Red Lion) scored 17:52 into the second half. Eileen Fretz (Stroudsburg, PA/Notre Dame) added a goal with 14:02 left to make the score 9-0, and Cromley scored her third goal of the game with just 18 seconds left.

Jackie Shoustal (Reading, PA/Exeter Township) made two saves for the shutout. The Blue Jays outshot Albright 37-3. Dina Jingoli (Morrisville, PA/Notre Dame-NJ) had three assists for Etown.

Etown will return to action in the North Carolina Wesleyan Tournament Saturday, September 22 and Sunday, September 23. The Blue Jays are scheduled to play a 1:00 p.m. game Saturday.
