Etown Defeats Virginia Wesleyan, 2-1, on First Day of SUNY-Oneonta Tournament

ONEONTA, N.Y. --- Elizabethtown defeated Virginia Wesleyan, 2-1, on the first day of the SUNY-Oneonta tournament to improve to 2-3 in 2002 and get its second win in a row.

Aileen Musser (Columbia, PA/Hempfield) assisted both of Elizabethtown's goals. Courtney Phillips (Mechanicsburg, PA/Mechanicsburg) scored Etown's first goal at 33:00, and Danielle Grubb (Danville, PA/Danville) scored the game-winner with six minutes left in the game.

Etown will return to action against tournament host SUNY-Oneonta Sunday, September 15 at 2:30 p.m.
