Etown Defeats Wilkes, 3-0

EDWARDSVILLE, Pa. --- Elizabethtown improved to 3-5 overall with a 3-0 road win over Wilkes, which drops to 0-6 on the year.

Elizabethtown's Megan Halladay (Wallingford, PA/Strath Haven) scored the first goal on a 25-yard blast at 25:11.

Courtney Phillips (Mechanicsburg, PA/Mechanicsburg) made the score 2-0 at 54:24 with an unassisted goal. Rebecca Young (Macungie, PA/Emmaus) added the final goal with 52 seconds remaining to play.

Elizabethtown out-shot Wilkes 16-9, and had six corner kicks against three for the Colonels. Amy Weid (Turnersville, NJ/Pitman) made five saves in the Blue Jays' goal for the shutout.

Elizabethtown will return to action on the road Thursday, September 26 against Drew for a 7:00 p.m. game.
