ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE WOMEN'S SOCCER Elizabethtown Defeats Conference Rival Moravian, 3-0 ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown improved to 7-6 overall and 2-0 in the Commonwealth Conference with a 3-0 win at home over Moravian Tuesday. Moravian drops to 9-4-1 overall and 2-2 in the conference with loss, a make-up of a previously rained out game. Despite the score, Moravian actually out-shot Elizabethtown 15-13. Etown goaltender Amy Weid (Turnersville, NJ/Pitman) made nine saves, including a pair of spectacular stops 70 minutes into the game when she blocked a Moravian penalty kick and swatted away a follow-up shot while still on the ground. Moravian also held a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks. Elizabethtown got its first goal at 44:30 when Danielle Grubb (Danville, PA/Danville) dribbled past a Moravian defender and scored. Courtney Phillips (Mechanicsburg, PA/Mechanicsburg) gave Etown a 2-0 lead at 47:35 when she took the rebound of a previous shot to the back of the Moravian net. It was Phillips' seventh goal of the season, tying her for the team lead. Etown went up 3-0 at 58:43 when Jessie Cromley (New Columbia, PA/Milton) fired a cross pass to Robin Felix (Voorhees, NJ/Eastern), who scored on a one-timer. It was the first time Felix had touched the ball since sitting out several recent games, and it was her first goal of the season.
