Etown Defeats Juniata, 2-0 as Young Scores One Goal, Assists Other

HUNTINGDON, Pa. --- Playing its second game in as many days, Elizabethtown improved to 9-8-1 overall and 4-1-1 in the Commonwealth Conference with a 2-0 road win over Juniata Saturday.

Rebecca Young (Macungie, PA/Emmaus) scored Etown's first goal at 11:47 and assisted the second at 78:30. Heather Newswanger (Pine Grove, PA/Pine Grove) tallied the second Etown goal. Courtney Phillips (Mechanicsburg, PA/Mechanicsburg) and Jessie Cromley (New Columbia, PA/Milton) assisted the first goal.

Etown will return to action in the makeup of a previously rained-out conference game on the road Monday, November 4 against Susquehanna. Game time is 2:30 p.m.
