Etown Drops 2-0 Game to Gettysburg

GETTYSBURG, Pa. --- Elizabehtown dropped to 6-2-2 overall Wednesday with a 2-0 road loss to Gettysburg, which improves to 6-3 with the win.

After a highly defensive first half in which Gettysburg out-shot Etown 1-0, the host Bullets opened the floodgates in the second half and out-shot the Blue Jays 11-2. Although Gettysburg held the advantage in shots for the game, Etown had three corner kicks against just two for Gettysburg.

Leah Hyde scored what turned out to be the game-winner for Gettysburg at 60:46 off an assist from Liz Feldhusen. Gettysburg's Jenny Line added an insurance goal at 83:41 off a Michelle Friedman assist.

Etown will return to action in its 2003 Commonwealth Conference opener on the road Tuesday, October 7 against Lebanon Valley in a 4:00 p.m. game
