Etown Wins Third Consecutive Game, Defeats Eastern 1-0

ST. DAVIDS, Pa. --- Elizabethtown College improved to 4-3 overall Tuesday with a 1-0 road win over Eastern University. It was Elizabethtown's third consecutive win, and Eastern dropped to 1-3-1 overall with the loss.

Senior midfielder Courtney Phillips (Mechanicsburg, PA/Mechanicsburg) scored the lone goal for Etown one minute into the second half, and junior forward Stefanie Grimm (Hummelstown, PA/Hershey) notched her first collegiate assist on the play. Etown junior goaltender Pam Ostroski (York Haven, PA/Red Land) made four saves to earn the shutout.

The Blue Jays out-shot Eastern 19-10, and Etown held a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks. Eastern keeper Marcie Pent made 15 saves over the course of the game.
