Etown Falls 4-1 to Gettysburg

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Gettysburg College, currently ranked fourth in the Mid-Atlantic Region of NCAA Division III, defeated Elizabethtown College, ranked seventh in the Mid-Atlantic Region, 4-1 at Etown's Ira R. Herr Field Wednesday night. Gettysburg improves to 5-2-2 overall with the win, while Etown drops to 5-4 after seeing its winning streak get halted at four games.

Dana Moyer (Harleysville, PA/North Penn) scored Etown's only goal on a penalty kick that was set up after Keeley Trumbo (Jeffersonville, PA/Great Valley) was fouled in the box at 32:52. By that point, Gettysburg had already built up a 2-0 lead with goals at 9:20 and 30:10.

Gettysburg added two more goals after halftime at 74:12 and 78:19. Katie Myers led the Gettysburg offense with two goals, one in each half.

Etown will return to action Saturday, October 2 as the host of Stevens Tech (NJ) in a 3:00 p.m. game.
