Elizabethtown Improves to 2-0 in Conference with 2-1 Win over Albright

READING, Pa. --- Elizabethtown improved to 2-0 in the Commonwealth Conference and 7-5 overall with a 2-1 comeback road win over Albright College (7-2-2, 1-1-1) Thursday.

Albright, which out-shot Etown 14-10 over the course of the game, took a 1-0 lead 35:25 into the game when Megan Gring scored. Etown tied the game at 40:03 on a Courtney Phillips (Mechanicsburg, PA/Mechanicsburg) goal that Lindsay Brown (Myerstown, PA/ELCO) assisted. Just 3:10 later, Etown went up 2-1 as Kelly Drumel (Swedesboro, NJ/Kingsway Regional) scored what turned out to be the game-winning goal.

Pam Ostroski (York Haven, PA/Red Land) made four saves in the Etown net to preserve the win.

The Blue Jays will return to action on Wednesday, October 13 on the road against Susquehanna University in a 4:00 p.m. Commonwealth Conference game.
