Gettysburg Edges Elizabethtown 3-2 

YORK, Pa. --- Elizabethtown dropped to 6-3 overall with a 3-2 road loss to Gettysburg College Wednesday. The host Bullets improved to 2-5-2 overall with the win.

Gettysburg scored first as Steph Smith netted a goal off a rebound. At 26:12, Etown tied the score 1-1 as Jenna Russo (Florham Park, NJ/Hanover Park) scored. Gettysburg went up 2-1 on a Kelly Burke goal at 53:11, and Smith scored again at 58:04 to give the Bullets a 3-1 lead. Gretchen Geiger (Pilesgrove, NJ/Woodstown) scored her first collegiate goal for Elizabethtown at 65:00 to cut the gap to 3-2.

Gettysburg held a 12-8 advantage in shots, and each team had three corner kicks.

Etown will return to action on the road Saturday, October 1 in a noontime game against Commonwealth Conference rival Lebanon Valley.
