Gettysburg Edges Elizabethtown 2-1

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Gettysburg College came from behind with a pair of second half goals to defeat Elizabethtown College 2-1 at Elizabethtown Wednesday night. The Blue Jays drop to 4-3-1 overall with the loss, while Gettysburg improves to 6-2-1 overall with the win.

Elizabethtown forward Jenny Fromuth (Wyomissing, PA/Wyomissing) scored the game’s first goal off a Jenna Russo (Florham Park, NJ/Hanover Park) assist at 41:05.

Gettysburg tied the game at 60:12 when Katie Myers (Randallstown, MD/WSTES) scored off an assist by Erin Miller (Massapequa, NY/St. Anthony’s). Myers scored the game-winner at 78:33 off an assist by Mary Peters (Cranbury, NJ/Princeton Day School).

Elizabethtown held a 12-7 advantage in shots over the course of the game. Gettysburg goalie Danielle St. Pierre (Londonderry, NH/Trinity) made eight saves.

Elizabethtown will return to action at home Saturday, September 30 against Lebanon Valley College in a 7:00 p.m. game. It will be the Blue Jays’ first Commonwealth Conference contest of 2006.
