Elizabethtown Extends Win Streak to Nine, Unbeaten Streak to 15 With 1-0 Win at Lycoming

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. --- Junior Jenna Russo (Florham Park, NJ/Hanover Park) scored with 11:13 left in the second half to give 18th-ranked Elizabethtown College a 1-0 victory at Lycoming College in Commonwealth Conference women's soccer action on Tuesday afternoon.

The Blue Jays (14-1-1 overall, 2-0-0 Commonwealth) extended their school-record unbeaten streak to 15 matches with the victory and posted their ninth straight win, one shy of the program record of 10 consecutive victories set in 1996 and matched in 1999.

Russo scored her eighth goal of the season to lift Elizabethtown to the win in a contest in which it finished with a 23-0 advantage in shots and a 6-0 edge in corner kicks over the Warriors (9-5-0 overall, 0-2-0 Commonwealth).

Junior Angela Freeland (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) improved her record to 8-0-1 on the season by posting her sixth shutout of the year for Elizabethtown, while Jessica Bennett finished with 12 saves for Lycoming.
