Elizabethtown Defeats Lebanon Valley 5-4 in Completion of September 20 match

ANNVILLE, Pa. --- In a completion of a match from Sept. 20, the Elizabethtown College women's tennis team held on for a 5-4 victory over Lebanon Valley College in Commonwealth Conference action on Friday afternoon.

The Blue Jays (3-0 overall, 3-0 Commonwealth) led 4-3 over the Dutchmen (7-2 overall, 3-1 Commonwealth) when the match was halted due to darkness 15 days earlier.

First-year student Minke Albers (The Hague, The Netherlands) provided the winning margin as she finished off a 7-6, 2-6, 7-5 win at fourth singles over Charissa Nordall.

Senior Emma Smith (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) also completed her match at second singles and lost to Leslie Sabas 7-6, 3-6, 6-3.
