SHIPPENSBURG DEFEATS ETOWN, 5-0, BEFORE LIGHTNING HALTS MATCH

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Shippensburg University clinched a victory over the Blue Jays Thursday by winning all five completed matches.  Four remaining matches were suspended due to lightning.

The Lady Raiders began the match by sweeping all three doubles matches by a score of 8-1.  Laura Atwater and Nicole Palaferro managed to win their singles matches before weather conditions turned adverse, thereby clinching the win for Shippensburg.

The Blue Jays return to action Saturday, September 11 at home against Juniata.  Match time is 1:00 p.m.
