ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown gained its first victory over Juniata in three years Saturday, as the Blue Jays (2-2) defeated the Eagles (1-2) in a closely contested 5-4 home victory.

Winning their matches for the Blue Jays included Whitney Bull (Berwick, PA/Berwick), 6-3, 3-6, 6-4; Jen Smith (Honesdale, PA/Honesdale), 6-3, 6-7 (5), 6-4; Kathryn Green (St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada/Prince of Wales), 6-1, 6-0, and the doubles teams of Bull and Smith, 8-5; and Erin Thompson (Middlebury, CT/Pomperaug) and Heidi Habegger (Lebanon, PA/Cedar Crest).

The Blue Jays' next match is at home against Franklin and Marshall Tuesday, September 14.  Match time is 4:00 p.m.
