ETOWN MAKES STRONG SHOWING AT MAC INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Three of four Elizabethtown entries appeared beyond the first round of the Middle Atlantic Conference Individual Championships at Moravian Friday and Saturday.

In singles competition, both Whitney Bull (Berwick, PA/Berwick) and Erin Thompson (Middlebury, CT/Pomperaug) advanced to the quarterfinal round Friday. Thompson was halted at the quarterfinals Friday while Bull advanced to the semifinal round, where she was defeated Saturday.

In doubles, the team of Casey Kieffer (Milford, DE) and Jen Smith (Honesdale, PA/Honesdale) fell in the second round of competition. Melissa Muller (Shillington, PA/Governor Mifflin) and Heidi Habegger (Lebanon, PA/Cedar Crest) fell in the first round.
