Etown Downs Albright, 6-3

READING, Pa. --- Elizabethtown improved to 3-2 overall and 2-2 in the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth League with a 6-3 road win over Albright Thursday.

Highlighting Etown's singles matches was first-year Lisa Abel (Downingtown, PA/Downingtown), who shut out her opponent at number five in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0. Also winning big for the Blue Jays was number six senior Sasha Fureman (Lebanon, PA/Cedar Crest), 6-0, 6-1, and number four first-year Melanie Parenteau (Marydel, MD/North Carolina), 6-1, 6-1.

Elizabethtown returns to action at home Saturday, September 29 against MAC Commonwealth League rival Juniata for a noon match.
