Franklin and Marshall Defeats Elizabethtown, 8-1

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Etown fell to 2-2 overall in 2002 with an 8-1 loss to Franklin and Marshall at home Sunday. Although the fall is F&M's non-traditional season in women's tennis, for Elizabethtown it is the regular season.

Etown's lone point came courtesy of number one singles player Erin Thompson (Middlebury, CT/Pomperaug), who edged out F&M's Marie Papalia 7-5 in the first set, and cruised to a 6-1 victory in the second set.

Elizabethtown will return to action Thursday, September 12 on the road against Muhlenberg for a 3:30 p.m. match
