Etown Falls To Moravian, 8-1

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Moravian dropped Etown with an 8-1 win over the Blue Jays at Etown Tuesday. With the loss, Elizabethtown falls to 2-5 overall and 1-2 in the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth League. Moravian improves to 5-0 overall and 3-0 in the league with the win.

Etown's lone point came on a win at number five singles by freshman Lisa Mervine (Reading, PA/Governor Mifflin), 6-3, 6-1. The Blue Jays almost got another point in number three doubles, as Mervine and Kristy Trimbey (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) took their opponents all the way to a 12 point tiebreaker before ultimately falling 9-8 (7-2).

Elizabethtown returns to action Wednesday, September 18 on the road against Goucher for a 3:30 p.m. match
