ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE WOMEN'S TENNIS Etown's Parenteau and Trimbey Reach Third Round of MAC Individual Doubles Championships MADISON, N.J. --- Elizabethtown's doubles team of sophomore Melanie Parenteau (Marydel, MD/North Caroline) and freshman Kristy Trimbey (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) reached the third round of the Middle Atlantic Conference Individual Championships, hosted Friday and Saturday by Drew University, before bowing out of the tournament. The pair beat Moravian's Jill Simms and Leah Ziegler in the first round, 7-6 (1), 6-4 before facing Scranton's Katie King and Shelia Broadhead, who received a first round bye, in the second round. The Etown tandem upset Scranton's team with a 7-5, 3-6, 6-4 win. Parenteau and Trimbey bowed out in the third round with a 6-3, 6-1 loss to the number one seeded pair of Kristy Sturtz and Kristen Carmel from Albright. Etown's other doubles team, consisting of sophomore Lisa Abel (Downingtown, PA/Downingtown) and freshman Lisa Mervine (Reading, PA/Governor Mifflin) made it to the second round, beating Rajitha Davadoss and Kristin Kile of Wilkes 6-0, 6-4 in the first round before falling to second seeded Liz Osche and Lindsay DiPaola of Juniata 6-1, 6-2. Both of Elizabethtown's singles entrants fell in the first round of competition. At Madison, N.J.
