F&M Hands Etown First Loss of Season, 8-1

LANCASTER, Pa. --- Elizabethtown suffered its first loss of the 2003 season Tuesday, dropping a road match to Franklin & Marshall 8-1 in the make-up of a rained out match originally scheduled for Monday. The Blue Jays' overall record now stands at 3-1.

Heather Lander (Accident, MD/Northern Garrett) picked up the only victory for Etown at number six singles, winning 6-2, 3-6, (10-6) to improve to 2-0 in singles play this year.

Etown will return to action on the road Wednesday, September 17 against Messiah in a 3:30 p.m.
