First-year number one singles player Stacy Shapiro (Audubon, PA/Methacton) picked up a 6-2, 6-1 victory for Etown, and number two Lisa Abel (Downingtown, PA/Downingtown) won by an identical score. Mel Parenteau (Marydel, MD/North Caroline) and Lisa Mervine (Reading, PA/Governor Mifflin) each won 6-2, 6-0, at number three and number four singles, respectively. Heather Lander (Accident, MD/Northern Garrett), playing in the number five singles spot for the first time in her collegiate career, won 6-3, 6-1, and Kristy Trimbey (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) won 6-0, 6-2 at number six for Etown.
