ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE WOMEN'S TENNIS Etown Slips Past Dickinson, 5-4, Blue Jays Improve to 8-3 Overall ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown hosted Dickinson in a non-conference match Thursday and won a close 5-4 contest to improve to 8-3 overall in 2003. It is the Blue Jays' highest win total since 1996, when the team went 9-4. Etown picked up three points in the singles matches as Mel Parenteau (Marydel, MD/North Caroline) won 6-1, 6-2 at number three, Heather Lander (Accident, MD/Northern Garret) won 7-5, 6-1 at number five, and Kristy Trimbey (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) won 6-2, 6-1 at number six. Etown also won two of the three doubles matches, as Parenteau and Trimbey teamed up for an 8-6 win at number two, and Lander and Lisa Mervine (Reading, PA/Governor Mifflin) won 8-3 at number three. Elizabethtown will return to action Friday, October 3 as the host of a 3:30 p.m. match against Lycoming. At Elizabethtown, Pa.
