ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE WOMEN'S TENNIS Etown Blows Out Albright 8-1; Blue Jays off to Best Start Since 1993 ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- With an 8-1 road win over Commonwealth Conference rival Albright Saturday, Etown improved to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in the conference. The Blue Jays are now off to their best start through four matches since the Fall 1993 season, when the team went 11-1 overall. Etown swept all three doubles sets to begin the match and won five of the six singles contests. Kristy Trimbey (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) gave up just one game the entire day, winning her match at number six singles 6-1, 6-0 and teaming with Mel Parenteau (Marydel, MD/North Caroline) to win their doubles match 8-0. Parenteau won her singles match at number three 6-1, 6-2. Stacy Shapiro (Audubon, PA/Methacton) won 6-0, 6-3 at number one singles for Etown, and she and Lisa Abel (Downingtown, PA/Downingtown) won 8-6 at number one doubles. Abel won 6-1, 6-1 at number four singles. At number five singles, Heather Lander (Accident, MD/Northern Garrett) won 6-1, 6-1, and she and Emma Smith (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) teamed up to win 8-1 in number three doubles. Elizabethtown will return to action at home Monday, September 13 against conference rival Lebanon Valley in a 3:30 p.m. match. At Reading, Pa. Doubles competition:
