Elizabethtown College Women's Track and Field Two Elizabethtown College Athletes Earn All-America Honors at the NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships DECATUR, Ill. – Two members of Elizabethtown College’s women’s track team earned All-American honors today at the NCAA Division III outdoor track & field championships being hosted at Millikin University. Senior and team co-captain Carrie Kerna (MacMurray PA/Peters Township) qualified as one of eight runners for Saturday’s final heat in the 400m hurdles with a time of 62.29 seconds. The top eight finishers in the event earn All-American honors. The final heat will take place this Saturday at 3:35 pm (Central time zone). Kerna is also competing in the 100m hurdles trial on Friday. Junior and team co-captain Melissa St. Clair (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg) finished second in the nation in the 10,000m with a time of 36:19.96. With this finish, she has earned All-American honors. Four members of the Elizabethtown College men’s track and field team are also competing at the NCAA championships: senior Dave Berdan (Dingman’s Ferry, PA/Delaware Valley) is running in the 10,000m and 5,000m; freshman Mike Bauer (Pottsgrove, PA/Pottsgrove) is competing in the long jump; and senior Pablo Callejas (Quito, Ecuador/Isaac Newton) and sophomore Jason Patterson (Upper Marlboro, MD/Bowie) will be competing in the triple jump. |
