Elizabethtown College Women's Track and Field Blue Jays Compete at Duke Invitational DURHAM, N.C. --- Members of the Elizabethtown College women's track and field team competed at the two-day Duke University Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Junior Tiffany Kulp (Perkasie, PA/Pennridge) finished fourth out of 77 competitors in the developmental 800 meters with a time of 2:20.31, the third-best mark in program history. She also ran in the 1500 meters as one of just three non-Division I entries and took 26th with a time of 4:43.35. The Blue Jays had a trio of runners in the 10,000 meters, with senior Sarah Grove (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin East) taking 11th in 39:22.01, junior Amanda Daws (Thorofare, NJ/West Deptford) in 16th at 40:11.42 and first-year student Kristen O'Brien (Westminster, MD/Winters Mill) taking 18th place in 40:30.36. The time from Grove was the 5th best in program history, while Daws moved to seventh on the Etown all-time list and O'Brien entered at ninth place on the list. First-year student Kristin Bowen (West Chester, PA/Downingtown West) ran in the developmental 1500 meters and took 27th place with a time of 5:00.13. Duke Invitational - Durham, N.C. |
