Elizabethtown College Women's Cross Country:
2000 Season in Review

Elizabethtown was hampered by injuries in 2000, and the team finished ninth out of 13 teams at the Middle Atlantic Conference championships in 2000, despite not fielding two of the team's top five runners for the race.

Still missing one of the team's top five for the NCAA Mideast Regional meet, the Blue Jays managed to finish 26 th out of 35 teams.

Despite the nagging injuries, the Blue Jays did, however, tally their first dual meet victory since 1998 with a 22-33 win over Franklin and Marshall in the Battle for the Buggy Lancaster County Collegiate Cross Country Championship. Maggie Martin '03 finished second overall at that meet.

Martin was also the Blue Jays' top finisher at the MAC Championships, coming in 30 th out of 117 runners, while Jenna Nugent '03 placed 52 nd at the conference meet.
