Elizabethtown College Women's Cross Country:
2004 Season in Review

2004 was a season of historic firsts for the women's cross country team as the Blue Jays won their first ever Middle Atlantic Conference title, posted their highest ever regional finish and competed as a team for the first time at the NCAA Division III championship meet.

Etown also won three meets this season: the Gettysburg College Invitational, the Elizabethtown College Invitational, and the MAC Championships. Etown finished 19th in the country at the NCAA Division III Championships and third out of 35 teams at the Mideast Regionals.

Four Etown runners –Jessica Cook '08, Katie Garner '08, Erin Deihl '07 and Melissa St. Clair '05 – earned spots on the All-Mideast Region team by finishing in the top 35 at that meet. At the MAC Championships, those four runners earned spots on the All-MAC First Team by finishing in the top ten, and Danielle Frye '06 earned a place on the All-MAC Second Team by placing in the top twenty. Also, Etown head coach Mike Dager was named the MAC Coach of the Year for 2004.
