Elizabethtown “B” Team Places Sixth at Lebanon Valley Invitational

ANNVILLE, Pa. --- Elizabethtown ran its “B” squad at the Lebanon Valley Invitational Saturday, and the Blue Jays finished sixth out of 14 scoring teams with a score of 174. The 5000m race was held at Memorial Lake State Park, near Ft. Indiantown Gap, Pa.

Sarah Grove '08 was Etown's #2 finisher.

Sophomore Samantha Jones (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg Area) was the Blue Jays’ top finisher in 16th place out of 151 runners with a time of 21:29. Junior Sarah Grove (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin East) was Etown’s number two finisher in 35th place with a time of 22:17. Also finishing in the top 50 for Etown was junior Meghan Ryder (Hatboro, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) in 38th place in 22:28.

Elizabethtown will return to action at the Waynesburg (Pa.) Invitational Saturday, September 16 at 10:30 a.m.
