Erin Fisher Wins Elizabethtown Invitational as Blue Jays Finish Second

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College women's cross country team hosted the 4th annual Elizabethtown Invitational at the Elizabethtown Fairgrounds on Saturday morning.

Senior Erin Fisher (McEwensville, PA/Warrior Run) covered the 4,000-meter course in 14:16 to capture the individual championship and help the Blue Jays to a second-place finish in the team standings with 79 points, trailing only Shippensburg University (60).

First-year student Kristen O'Brien (Westminster, MD/Winters Mill) placed eighth with a time of 15:14, while junior Tiffany Kulp (Perkasie, PA/Pennridge) was 15th in a time of 15:36 and sophomore Megan VanDenHengel (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cumberland Valley) was 16th at 15:39.

Junior Amanda Daws (Thorofare, NJ/West Deptford) was 41st with a time of 16:22, senior Sarah Grove (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin East) took 56th at 16:42 followed by first-year student Kristin Bowen (West Chester, PA/Downingtown West) in 57th in an identical time.

Trailing Shippensburg and Elizabethtown in the top five were Salisbury University (97), Marietta College (146) and Franciscan University (158).
