ETOWN DEFEATS JUNIATA, 1-0, IN OVERTIME

HUNTINGDON, Pa. --- Elizabethtown defeated Juniata in a 1-0 overtime game hosted by the Commonwealth Conference rival Eagles. With the win, Etown improves to 13-3 overall and 4-2 in the conference while Juniata falls to 5-10 overall and 2-4 in the Commonwealth.

The only goal of the game was scored for the Blue Jays by Mandi Ewing (McClure, PA/West Snyder) on a penalty stroke with 9:36 remaining in the first overtime. Etown goaltender Kate VanValkenburgh (Malvern, PA/Great Valley) mad six saves for the shutout, and Juniata goaltender Liz Allard made 17 saves.

Etown returns to action at home against Albright Wednesday, October 18. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
