ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE MEN'S BASKETBALL Etown Uses Second-Half Burst to Bury Dickinson, 93-66 ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Looking at the final score alone, Etown's 93-66 win over Dickinson at home Monday night appeared to be easy. What actually happened in the game that improved Etown to 3-1 and dropped Dickinson to 1-3 was something else entirely. Dickinson played a strong first half and actually led throughout much of the first half. At halftime, Elizabethtown's lead stood at a slim 46-40. It was only when the second half began and Etown went on a 16-2 run that the Blue Jays finally pulled away for good. Also, Etown committed 23 turnovers in the game, against 24 for Dickinson. Dickinson, which shot just 37.5% from the field in the second half, actually shot 64.0% in the first half. In the end, Jon English (Haddonfield, NJ/Haddon Township) led Etown with 20 points, and he pulled down six rebounds. Chad Heller (New Holland, PA/Garden Spot) added 15 points for Etown and led the Blue Jays with seven rebounds, and Brian Loftus (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) scored 13 points and led Etown with six assists and three steals. Matt Keys was Dickinson's only double-digit scorer, totaling 11 points, and Jon Schwadron led Dickinson with six rebounds. Elizabethtown will return to action at home Wednesday, December 4 against Commonwealth Conference rival Widener. It is Etown's last home game until January 6.
