ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE MEN'S BASKETBALL Elizabethtown Falls to Lycoming 77-74 WILLIAMSPORT , Pa. --- Elizabethtown College dropped to 1-2 overall in a 77-74 road loss to Lycoming College Tuesday night. Lycoming improved to 2-1 overall with the victory. Elizabethtown took a 47-36 lead into halftime as the Blue Jays shot 19-for-30 (63.3%) from the field in the first half. Lycoming out-scored Elizabethtown 41-27 in the second half to take the victory. The host Warriors held a 35-24 advantage over the Blue Jays in rebounding, and Elizabethtown held a 12-4 edge in steals over Lycoming. Michael Schatzmann (Paradise, PA/Pequea Valley) led Elizabethtown in scoring with 20 points, and he led Etown in rebounds with six. Schatzmann’s 20 points tied his career high set December 8 of last year against Millersville. He hit four out of seven three-point attempts and shot 8-for-12 from the field. Three Blue Jays, Luke Ledyard (Frederick, MD/Gov. Thomas Johnson), Kris Kieres (Barnesville, PA/Mahanoy Area) and Bryce Rodgers (Waynesboro, PA/Waynesboro Area) each tallied 13 points for Etown. Kevin Morris led Lycoming in scoring with 18 points, and Jemayne Nowlin added 17 points from off the bench for the Warriors. David Wilson scored 14 points for Lycoming.
