DEJA VU: ETOWN DROPS SECOND STRAIGHT OVERTIME DECISION, 3-2 AGAINST ROANOKESALEM, Va. --- Billy Renfro scored his second goal of the game 7:45 into overtime to lead Roanoke past Elizabethtown, 3-2, in the second round of the Roanoke Domino's Classic on Sunday. It was the second straight 3-2 overtime loss suffered by the Blue Jays this weekend. Etown (1-2) also lost to Greensboro in double overtime on Saturday. Joe Franc scored his first two goals of the season to key the Blue Jay offense. Chris Helsel chipped in with one assist for his first points of the year. Doug Timm made six saves in the Etown nets. Both Franc and Helsel were named to the Domino's Classic all-Tournament team along with teammate Rick Petrosky. The Blue Jays are still seeking to become
the second program in NCAA Division III history with 600 all-time victories.
Their next shot at No. 600 comes against Eastern Mennonite at the Brothers
Pizza Blue Jay Classic on Friday, September 11. Game time is 4 p.m.
