NEW JERSEY STOPS Etown IN DOUBLE OT, 1-0; GOLDEN GOAL SNAPS JAYS' WINNING STREAK AT NINE GAMESEWING, N.J. --- Matt Karsh scored in the second overtime to lead the College of New Jersey past Elizabethtown, 1-0, in non-league action on Sunday. With the loss, the Blue Jays fell to 10-4 on the season and had their winning streak snapped at nine games.Doug Timm recorded six saves for the Etown, which was shut out for the first time this season. New Jersey goalie Christian Groenveld made eight saves, including a penalty shot from Chris Helsel in the 85th minute, to keep the Lions (5-3-2) in the game. The nine-game winning streak was the longest for Etown since an 11-game stretch in 1996, a run also snapped against New Jersey on October 12, 1996. The Blue Jays return to action on Tuesday,
October 13 in a key regional matchup at home against Dickinson College.
