ETOWN DEFEATS LEBANON VALLEY, 2-1, IN OVERTIME

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown (6-0-1) preserved its unbeaten record Wednesday with a 2-1 overtime victory over Lebanon Valley Wednesday.  The Blue Jays are now 2-0-1 in the MAC Commonwealth Conference. 

The game was tied 0-0 throughout the first half.  The scoring began 66 minutes into the game with an Etown goal by Wyeth Raws (Malvern, PA/West Chester East), assisted by Ric Petrosky (Manheim, PA/Manheim Central) and Drew Tirney (Springfield, PA/Springfield).

Lebanon Valley tied the game at 86 minutes with a goal on a direct kick by Grant Walter (Selinsgrove, PA/Selinsgrove), sending the game into overtime. 

Overtime, however, was over before the first minute was through, as Darius Goss (Haverford, PA/Haverford) scored the winning goal for Elizabethtown just 46 seconds into overtime off assists from Dominic Marano (New Hope, PA/Solebury School and Brent Conover (Gettysburg, PA/Gettysburg). 

The Blue Jays return to action Saturday, September 25 at Scranton.  Game time is 7:30 p.m.
