ETOWN HEAD COACH SKIP RODERICK GETS 300TH CAREER WIN IN 3-0 VICTORY OVER WILKES

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown head coach Skip Roderick gained his 300th career victory in only 17 seasons Saturday as the Blue Jays downed Wilkes, 3-0. The win was also the team's ninth consecutive shutout, extending its program record streak. Etown is now 15-0-1.

Brent Conover (Gettysburg, PA/Gettysburg) scored the opening goal on a corner kick from Jamie Cook (Havertown, PA/Haverford School) 27 minutes into the game.

The next goal was scored in the second half when Wyeth Raws (Malvern, PA/West Chester East) netted a pass from Bryan Hoy (Beaver Springs, PA/West Snyder) at the 58 minute mark. Brad Confer (Lancaster, PA/Manheim Township) struck unassisted five minutes from the end of the game.

Etown goaltender Doug Timm (Wilmington, DE/McKean) made three saves to preserve the record-extending shutout.

The Blue Jays will try to stretch their shutout streak into double digits when they face Moravian Wednesday, October 27 at 3:30 p.m.
