ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown opened its Commonwealth Conference season with a 4-0 home win over Susquehanna Saturday. Etown's overall record improves to 4-1 while the Crusaders fall to 2-3-1 overall.
The Blue Jays took a 1-0 lead into halftime with the only goal scored at 3:56 by Wyeth Raws (Malvern, PA/West Chester East) on an assist from Peter Scott (Penzance, Cornwall, England).
Etown scored its second goal only 35 seconds into the second half on a penalty kick by Bryan Hoy (Beaver Springs, PA/West Snyder). Etown scored again at 68:23 on an own goal by Susquehanna, and the final goal was scored at 74:39 by Brent Conover (Gettysburg, PA/Gettysburg) on an assist from Charlie Haines (Hamilton, NJ/Hun School of Princeton).
The Blue Jays return to action on the road against Lebanon Valley Wednesday, September 20. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
