ETOWN FALLS TO MESSIAH, 2-1, IN COMMONWEALTH CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

GRANTHAM, Pa. --- Messiah captured the Commonwealth Conference men's soccer championship with a 2-1 win over Elizabethtown Saturday. With the loss, the Blue Jays fall to 15-3 overall. Messiah receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, while Etown will have to wait and see whether or not it receives an at-large bid.

Messiah built a 2-0 lead with a goal by Greg Coiordano at 28:15 and an Elizabethtown own goal at 52:18.

The Blue Jays scored their only goal of the game at 78:38 when Ryan Wattenschaidt (Jarrettsville, MD/North Harford) scored on an assist from Daniel Harris (West Chester, PA/Downingtown).
