Etown Falls to Muhlenberg, 1-0, in Regional Clash

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Muhlenberg, ranked tenth in the Mid-Atlantic Region, defeated Elizabethtown, ranked eighth regionally, in an intense game at Ira R. Herr field Thursday night by a score of 1-0. Elizabethtown falls to 10-5-1 overall with the loss, while Muhlenberg improves to 9-5.

Ben Long (Granville, OH/Granville) scored the only goal for Muhlenberg unassisted at 59:40. Elizabethtown outshot the Mules 11-4, and Muhlenberg goaltender Chris Davis (Sparta, NJ/Lenape Valley Regional) made nine saves to preserve the shutout.

Elizabethtown returns to action for its Homecoming game Saturday, October 20. The Blue Jays will host Wilkes for a 2:30 p.m. game.
