Etown Defeats PSU-Behrend, 3-0, Improves to 4-1-2 in 2002

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown improved to 4-1-2 overall with a 3-0 home win over Penn State-Behrend Saturday. PSU-Behrend falls to 1-5-2 with the loss.

Chris Boushell (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg) broke a 0-0 draw through the game's first 61 minutes when he scored in the middle of the second half. Chase Franklin (Phoenix, MD/Loyola Blakefield) converted a pass from Andrew Kummerer (Baltimore, MD/Dundalk) at 74:21 to give Etown a 2-0 lead. Brian Albrecht (Baltimore, MD/Patapsco) scored Etown's final goal with just 1:06 remaining on the clock on an assist from Alex Marshall (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cumberland Valley).

Etown keeper Edwin Tichenor (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cumberland Valley) made one save for his first complete game shutout of the season.

Etown outshot PSU-Behrend 25-4, and had six corner kicks against one for the Lions.

The Blue Jays will return to action Wednesday, September 25 for a 7:00 p.m. game against Commonwealth Conference rival Widener at home.
