ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE MEN'S SOCCER Sunday, September 7, 2003 Etown Blows Out Scranton, 8-0, in Blue Jays' Home Opener; Brian Healy Assists Three Goals and Scores Two ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- After being forced to wait a day due to soaked field conditions Saturday, the Elizabethtown College men's soccer team made the most of its belated 2003 home opener Sunday afternoon with an 8-0 rout of the University of Scranton. Elizabethtown (2-0) began its scoring early as Brian Zalasky (Milford, PA/Delaware Valley) scored his third goal of the season just 2:12 after the opening whistle off an assist from Brian Healy (Newark, DE/A.I. DuPont), the first of three assists from Healy for the day. Brian Albrecht (Baltimore, MD/Patapsco) scored his first goal of the day at 12:07, again from a Healy assist. Albrecht scored the first goal of the second half on Healy's third assist of the day at 50:45. Healy followed with his second goal of the game, a long shot from the top left corner of the box, at 56:49 on an assist by Zach Eddinger (Middletown, CT/Middletown). John Aronowicz (Exton, PA/Downingtown) dribbled through Scranton's defense to score the final goal of the game at 67:06. Etown out-shot Scranton (0-3) 24-5, and the Blue Jays held a 3-2 advantage in corner kicks. Etown will return to action on the road Wednesday, September 10 against York College (Pa.) in a 4:00 p.m. game.
