Etown Edges Out Franklin & Marshall, 1-0, in Overtime

LANCASTER, Pa. --- Elizabethtown successfully defended its possession of the Smith-Herr Bronze Boot Trophy with a 1-0 overtime win over local rival Franklin & Marshall on the road Saturday. Etown improved to 3-1 overall with the win.

Casey Moore (Sinking Spring, PA/Wilson) scored the lone goal for Elizabethtown 4:17 into overtime to end the game. Bryan Noll (Fleetwood, PA/Oley Valley) and Andrew Kummerer (Glenmoore, PA/Coatesville) assisted the goal.

First-year Etown goaltender Andrew "Tex" Jorgensen (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks East), thrust into the starting role by injuries, made the most of his first collegiate start by picking up his first complete game shutout and making two saves.

Elizabethtown out-shot Franklin & Marshall 20-7 and held a 7-4 advantage in corner kicks.

The Blue Jays will return to action at home Wednesday, September 17 against Drew in a 7:00 p.m. game.
