Elizabethtown Gets 695th All-Time Win with 2-1 Victory over College of New Jersey

EWING, N.J. --- Elizabethtown moved within five wins of the 700 mark all-time with a 2-1 road victory over The College of New Jersey Saturday. Etown improves to 7-2-3 overall on the season with the win, while TCNJ drops to 5-6-2.

Etown took a 1-0 lead as Steve Petrosky (Manheim, PA/Manheim Twp.) scored off a pass by Owen Friedrich (Westmont, NJ/Haddon Twp.) just seven seconds before halftime.

TCNJ tied the game at 77:02 when Matt Connor scored. The goal ended a scoreless streak for the Lions that had taken up the team's last seven games. Etown scored the game winner at 77:29 when Andrew Kummerer (Glenmoore, PA/Coatesville) netted a pass from Chris Boushell (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg).

Edwin Tichenor (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cumberland Valley) made six saves in the Etown net to preserve the victory, his seventh of the season.

Etown will return to action at home against Commonwealth Conference rival Albright College at home Tuesday, October 12 at 7:00 p.m.
