Elizabethtown and Albright Battle to 1-1 Draw

READING , Pa. --- Elizabethtown College’s record stands at 5-2-2 overall and 1-0-1 in the Commonwealth Conference following a 1-1 tie on the road against Albright College Wednesday. Albright’s record is now 4-2-2 overall and 1-0-1 in the conference.

Elizabethtown out-shot Albright 16-3, but Albright goalie Joe Hartman made 13 saves to keep the Lions in the game. Elizabethtown’s lone goal came at 47:00 when Michael Terry (Beech Creek, PA/Central Mountain) scored unassisted. Albright’s Tim Legendre tied the game off a Dan Martin assist at 72:00. The next 18 minutes went by with no further scoring, and the game went into overtime. After two overtime periods, the score remained tied 1-1.

Elizabethtown will return to action at home Saturday, September 30 against Lebanon Valley College in a 2:00 p.m. Commonwealth Conference game.
