ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE MEN'S SOCCER Saturday, September 29, 2007 George Severini Scores Two Second-Half Goals to Boost Blue Jays to 2-0 Win over Arcadia ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- For the second straight night, senior George Severini (Havertown, PA/Haverford) scored two second-half goals as Elizabethtown College defeated Arcadia University 2-0 in non-conference men's soccer action at Ira R. Herr Field on Saturday night. Severini, who leads the Blue Jays with nine goals this season, scored both of his goals in a span of four minutes as the Blue Jays (8-2-0 overall) picked up their seventh home victory without a loss this season and extended their overall home winning streak to 10 matches dating to last season. Severini, who scored twice in the Blue Jays' 5-0 win over Albright College on Friday night, gave Elizabethtown a 1-0 lead with 27:54 remaining as he flicked home a served ball by junior Bryan Holt (Hershey, PA/Lower Dauphin). Just four minutes later, Severini gave the Blue Jays a 2-0 advantage as he fired home a rebound of a shot by senior Brian Raveling (Voorhees, NJ/Eastern Regional), with Holt also earning an assist on the gaol with 23:55 to go. The Blue Jays finished with a 15-6 edge in shots over the Knights (0-8-2 overall) and a 6-3 advantage in corner kicks. Junior Jeff Mullen (Horsham, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) made two saves in goal for the Blue Jays, including a sensational stop on a shot by Arcadia's Matt Benner with 5:21 remaining in the contest.
