One of the two assists this year came in Etown's 1-0 win over conference arch-rival Messiah, which eventually won the NCAA Division III championship in 2002. Over the course of four years, he totaled eight goals and six assists for 22 career points. A 1999 alumnus of Manheim Township High School, he is majoring in biochemistry with a minor in physics at Elizabethtown College. The Elizabethtown College men's soccer team concluded the 2002 season with a 14-3-3 overall record, and was ranked 25th in the nation at one point during the season. The Blue Jays captured first place with a 6-0-1 Commonwealth Conference record during the regular season, but were knocked out of the first round of the conference playoffs and were passed over for an at-large NCAA Division III tournament bid. One of the most consistently dominant programs in the history of collegiate soccer, Etown wrapped up its 51st consecutive .500-or-better season in 2002. |
