Elizabethtown College Senior Brian Healy Named All-American in Men’s Soccer

Brian Healy '06.ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown College senior forward Brian Healy (Newark, DE/A.I. DuPont) has been named a National Soccer Coaches’ Association of America (NSCAA) All-American for the 2005 season in NCAA Division III. It is the first time in his career that he has received the honor.

Healy has earned a spot on the NSCAA All-America Third Team. This year, he also was named to the NSCAA’s All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team for the second year in a row. He was also named a First Team All-Commonwealth Conference player in 2003, 2004 and 2005. This year, he started all 20 of Elizabethtown’s games and led the Blue Jays in goals with nine and in points with 23, and he finished second at Etown in assists with five. Two of his goals this year were game-winners, and he converted three out of four penalty kick attempts. In his four-year career, he amassed 31 goals, 27 assists, and 89 points.

The Elizabethtown College men’s soccer team finished the 2005 season with a 14-4-2 overall record and finished as the Commonwealth Conference runner-up. It was Elizabethtown’s 54th consecutive season with a .500 or better win-loss record.
